Rest Day (Lasik Evaluation)

No workout today! Spent more than half a day, from morning to the afternoon, at The Lasik Surgery Clinic together with Daniel for evaluation for Lasik. We would be undergoing the surgery on next Thursday. And that would probably mean that I won't be able to carry out my workout for 3 to 4 weeks after that.

Received a call from Daniel at 1800hrs and he said: "Hellooo...Bro, 10 mins later, at fitness corner ok?"And so we met at the fitness corner and begin our workout session.

Not sure if it is the shoes that is heavy or my legs are tired, I felt that I need a little more effort to lift my legs while skipping. But during the run, I could feel the bouncing effect! Bounce, bounce, and bounce! It is really a good pair of running shoes!

New Running Shoes

I bought a new pair of Spira running shoes today. I am so happy that the shop is selling all Spira shoes with a discount of up to 50%, and I paid $74 only for a pair of Tri-spring running shoes. The usual price was $148. But the sad thing is, according to the shop owner, Spira shoes will not be sold in Singapore anymore, after they have cleared their remaining stocks.
I have been wearing their One-spring running shoes and I like it very much! After having tried so many different brand of shoes, I must say that Spira shoes are the best, in terms of the spring technology they used (for absorbing impact and energy returns). I will be going for a run in this new pair of shoes later and I am sure it is going to be a good experience:)

I had wanted to do 4 sets of all the exercises (excluding skipping), but I stopped at the 3rd because a friend, Helen, passed by and we chat. We talked a little about our work, and then she shared with me about her training at her shooting club. And wow, I got to know that she came in first in the recent shooting competition!

After leaving the fitness corner, I went home to clean up myself and left for my dinner. Sigh... did so much exercises but at the end I had junk food for dinner. I know it's unhealthy food, but it's one of my favorite...

I got quite worried when I was doing my warming up exercises as I felt some pain in my left knee. My guess is that I am having the pain because I had skipped on concrete floor few days ago, which I hardly do nowadays except when it rains. I would normally do my skipping on the synthetic floor at the fitness corner. Felt abnormally exhausted after the workout.

Straight after my Japanese class at 2000hrs, I rushed to pick up my nephew, Deric. The reason I had to rush was because I have to pick up my wife at 2200hrs when she finished her evening class, and I don't want to miss my exercise time.

Deric managed to skip 600 times in this session and I am very confident that with practices, he will be far better than me in no time. He did a few push-up and we did the triceps (dip), 3 sets, together.
